Consequently, retailers who are not Kymdan’s officially authorized agents use and recommend other products of inferior quality as Kymdan second-grade products, Kymdan products in cooperation with Taiwan or Singapore, or spread rumours that high price products of Kymdan are principally thanks to a well-known brand but its quality is just same as others, ... in an attempt to swindle customers.  
• Customers are aware of information about Kymdan products, but do not inspect the delivered goods, which are covered with mattress pads (protectors), due to having an instinctive trust in the seller. Intuitive placement of trust, lack of vigilance and delivery inspection is commonly seen when:
  • Customers are buying mattress products at shops and outlets displaying “Kymdan” which deceives customers into thinking that they are Kymdan’s officially authorized agents.
    As of 07/14/2010, Kymdan has found 307 shops and outlets displaying “Kymdan” without Kymdan’s written consent or authorization, which is an infringement of Kymdan intellectual property and trademark. As a result, Kymdan issued written notice to these shops and outlets, and 192 of them have removed “Kymdan” signboards. Currently, there are 115 shops and outlets nation-wide in infringement of Kymdan intellectual property, and Kymdan is now working with competent authorities on this infringement to have these signboards completely removed.
  • Some shops and websites post Kymdan products with a very high discount, which causes customers to lack vigilance with cheap buy, but deceitfully provide customers with products of other brands.
• For companies who fail to impose and maintain a tight control over buying process, purchasers tend to buy fake Kymdan products of cheap price and poor quality and report them as genuine Kymdan products to defraud their company of value difference.
• For donation and offer of mattress products, the following scenarios are seen:
  • The donors/givers premeditatedly buy mattress products of cheap price and poor quality to offer relatives or superiors as genuine Kymdan products
  • The donors/givers of Kymdan mattress products place a great trust in the seller by requesting direct delivery to the receivers without any inspection.
