REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO THE USE OF KYMDAN LATEX MATTRESSES

Natural latex mattresses are sensitive to UV light, heat and chemicals, therefore:

Do not expose the mattress to direct sunlight. If your mattress needs to be dried, do so by removing the sheet, mattress protector (if using) and mattress cover from the mattress to allow the moisture to evaporate naturally or direct a fan to the wet surface (see details).
Do not wash, wipe or use as an ironing board.
Do not spill gasoline or other chemicals on the mattress. Provided the mattress has not been exposed to sunlight, Kymdan still honors its warranty if a mattress is damaged and becomes rotten due to urine soiling, on the condition that the mattress was not exposed to direct sunlight for drying.
Do not place the mattress near a heat source or heat generating equipment.
Do not place the mattress on a bed in which the distance between wooden slats is more than 3cm.
Do not apply any form of force of more than 200kg/dm² on the mattress.
The use of a mattress protector is highly recommended to ensure the mattress remains hygienic.
Do not forcefully remove massage nodules from a Kymdan Massage mattress.
Do not fold or roll the mattress.

Note:

To avoid imitations and fraudulent substitutions, upon delivery please check the warranty number and Kymdan brand name on the side of the mattress.

Show your warranty card if your mattress requires maintenance. In the case of a lost warranty card, Kymdan still carries out warranty obligations. The warranty period would then be determined base on the code information made on the mattress.

How to correctly place the mattress:

- Place the mattress on a flat surface (such as the floor or a flat bed (with a solid surface or slats that are no greater than 3cm apart)). Kymdan mattresses should not be placed on top of any other mattress.

- Do not flip the mattress for use:

+ For the Kymdan Deluxe mattress with the Kymdan SoftFresh Max cover: Please note the base of the mattress will always have a warning “Please do not sleep on this side”.

+ For the Kymdan Deluxe mattress with the Kymdan AirFresh cover (where the foam core can be seen): place the side with the small round holes (the mattress surface) facing up, the side with the large square holes (the mattress base) should face down.

HOW TO TREAT WET MATTRESSES:

In case a Kymdan mattress has been wet due to child bedwetting, treat mattress as follows:

Use a dry towel to press hard onto wet area of the mattress to soak up as much liquid as possible, continue pressing until you can no longer soak up anymore liquid. Then direct a fan towards the wet surface of the mattress until dry. Afterwards, you may sprinkle some baby powder (a safe type used for children, we recommend using types imported/purchased overseas such as from the USA or Australia) onto the soiled area; place a dry soft towel over so that the child can lay on.
When the mattress is not in use, take off the bed sheet to allow any dampness to evaporate naturally (a few hours depending on the temperature and climate) or direct a fan towards the wet surface of the mattress until completely dry (approximately 30 minutes).
DO NOT DRY THE WET MATTRESS DIRECTLY UNDER THE SUN.
DO NOT USE A HEATER TO DRY THE MATTRESS.
DO NOT EXPOSE THE MATTRESS TO TEMPERATURES HIGHER THAN 40°C/104°F FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.
DO NOT CLEAN OR DRY THE MATTRESS BY RUBBING THE SURFACE OF THE MATTRESS.

Please note:

- For mattresses with a Kymdan AirFresh Cover: the cover can be removed to wash, the mattress foam core can then be dried following the instructions above.

- For mattresses with the SoftFresh Max cover manufactured with the mattress: do not remove the cover, perform the methods directly to the cover.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUTTING ON A KYMDAN MATTRESS COVER (applicable to Kymdan mattresses with an AirFresh mattress cover):

Step 1: Turn the cover inside out.
Step 2 : Press one corner of cover to a corner of the mattress and pull the cover over the mattress.
Step 3 : Move to the next corner of the mattress repeat Step 2.
Step 4::
- Each hand hold one edge of the mattress cover at the opening (do not hold the side of the mattress) use the hand holding the edge on the bottom to gently lift the mattress. In one motion lift and slowly pull the mattress cover toward the other end of the mattress. Remember to alternate the lift and pull on each side repeatedly until the mattress is fully covered. Avoid the case of over stressing and tearing the mattress cover by only lifting and pulling on one side until it reaches the other end then change side.
- Attention:
  - If there are two people putting on the mattress cover, each person should stand on one side of the mattress and simultaneously perform the actions above.
Step 5: Align the edges at the opening and pull the zipper closed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING A KYMDAN MATTRESS COVER (applicable to Kymdan mattresses with an AirFresh mattress cover):

Step 1: Pull the zipper open.
Step 2: Hold the edge of the cover at the opening and use the lift and pull action to pull the cover toward the other end. Remember to alternate the lift and pull on each side repeatedly until the mattress is fully uncovered. Avoid the case of over stressing and tearing the mattress cover by only lifting and pulling on one side until it reaches the other end then change side.
Attention:
- If there are two people removing the mattress cover, each person should stand on one side of the mattress and simultaneously perform the actions above.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUTTING ON A KYMDAN MATTRESS PROTECTOR

“MAKING A BED" WITH A KYMDAN MATTRESS

Kymdan now faces severe competition and it is rumoured that Kymdan mattresses are so heavy, that making beds is problematic and that the mattresses are not suitable for use in hotels, this rumour is completely groundless. Please refer to “Making a bed” to learn the truth about how Kymdan beds are made in some hotel rooms:

USER GUIDE FOR KYMDAN LATEX PILLOWS

Do not expose the pillow to direct sunlight.
Place the pillow on a dry and leveled surface. When drying is required, remove the cover and let dry naturally or use an electric fan.
Do not wash the pillow.
Do not expose the pillow to chemicals, especially gasoline and oil.
Do not place the pillow near heat sources. Do not use the pillow as an ironing pad.
Do not apply force in excess of 85kg/dm² to the pillow. Do not tear or scratch surface.

Please note when:

Holding the pillow: Please place one hand at the end of the pillow and one hand in the centre of the pillow to avoid latex from being ripped.
Changing the pillow cover: Place your hand into the pillow cover to take the pillow out, do not pull the pillow out by grabbing the edge of the pillow.
Kymdan LumbarLatex Travel, Kymdan LumbarLatex Support Pillow are specifically designed with an UltimateCare cover to protect the latex foam of the pillow, this cover is not removable. When cleaning is required, use a soft cloth with a gentle antibacterial cleaning agent or mild soapy water. Do not wash the pillow.

HOW TO CHANGE THE PILLOWCASE

USING A KYMDAN BED

Mattress: Please see in section “REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO THE USE OF Kymdan LATEX MATTRESSES”.
Bedstead:
- Avoid spilling gasoline or chemicals on the bedstead in order to preserve the painted surface.
- Place the bed on a flat surface after folding or unfolding. When not in use, place the bed against a wall.
Recommendations
- Contact with bedstead edges can be dangerous for children.
- To avoid imitations and fraudulent substitutions, please check the warranty number and Kymdan brand name on the mattress side upon delivery.

USING A KYMDAN LOUNGE SUITE

Do not place the lounge suite on a rough or uneven surface
Do not expose the lounge suite to direct sunlight.
Do not spill gasoline or chemicals on the lounge suite.
Do not place the lounge suite close to a heat source or heat generating equipment.
Do not apply force greater than 200kg/dm² on the lounge suite mattress.

Note:

To avoid imitations or fraudulent substitutions, please check information shown on the warranty upon receipt.

Present the warranty when the lounge suite is serviced. Keep the warranty carefully in case there are further changes in designs and covers.

USING KYMDAN BED SHEET, BLANKETS AND MATTRESS COVERS

To maintain bright color and durability of products

If a mattress cover needs washing, do not soak it for more than 30 minutes in soap or detergent solution.
For colored cloth, do not use soap or detergent having high bleach content.
Do not expose cloth to direct sunlight. Keep the cloth in a shady area.
If exposure to sunlight is required for sterilization, the inside of the cloth should be exposed to sunlight and only for the time necessary for drying.
Do not rub cloth strongly while washing.
Do not iron by using temperature that is too high.
If possible, soak the cloth in an alum solution for about 60 minutes before use and rinse the cloth with clean water.

Gently shake and spread the quilt before use
Maintain in a well ventilated place if used regularly
Dry Clean Only
Do not tumble Dry
Do not iron
Do not use as surface for ironing…

HOW TO INSERT THE QUILT

USING 100% COTTON KYMDAN BATH TOWELS

To keep the bath towels looking fresh and lasts long:

Wash bath towels before use
Separate colored bath towels from white bath towels during wash.
Do not bleach.
Do not place near fire sources.
